RipPix Basics

Drag and drop an image on the open application. When an image is place two images are auto-created. The Foreground image is the one you rip and the Background one is where the ripped image is placed. Adjust texture using the Foreground Strength left box and adjust the paper using the box right of it. By Mixing and matching them it creates unlimited combinations. If the texture is too strong reduce the effect by moving the slider down. Use the Lasso Rip to tool to create a rip by drawing around the subject in the image. For added focus try enlarging the ripped image using the Move Image tool. Touch up the rip by removing areas of the rip with the Lasso Rip tool or switch to Add Rip to put the areas back in. Change the rip edge to a border or cut one using the Rip Style options. You can get to the texture settings for the Background image by selecting the image at the top under Image Mode. Please note, the background image is always static and cannot be removed.

Replace the Foreground Image

Use two images for a simple collage. First create the project by dragging the background image on the open application. A background and foreground image will be created. The Foreground image is the one you rip and the Background one is where the ripped image is placed. Use the presets at the bottom for a quick start then adjust them if you prefer. Under Image Mode replace the Foreground image by selecting it first then importing the photo using the Camera icon; or drag the new image in the Foreground box. Once the new image is placed, rip the image out and adjust the settings by toggling between the Foreground and Background. Move the ripped image around on the background to create a unique and whimsical composition.
