Recently I cam upon a new patent that was granted on a watercolor technique. The patent system is all about protecting the inventor but the other great purpose with the patent system is to progress the world around us. The patents are all public so fellow researchers and engineers can take those patents and make them better. Some decide to re-patent those ideas but I am choosing to not patent new ideas but instead post them for everyone to see and maybe come up with even better ideas.
