Artista Sketch - iPhone Info

In contrast to most digital art media, Artista Sketch comes very close to hand-drawn artwork seen only before in sketches created by human artists. Getting a similar result using traditional pencils would require expert training or extensive manipulation using an image editing application. No need to handle a pencil to feel like an artist. The only thing you need to create your original artwork is the appreciation … we will take care of the rest.

Getting Started:

When you open the app you will be asked if you would like to get a photo from your Camera roll or to take a photo with the built in camera

Buttons

On the iPhone the buttons appear above and below the image

Customize

You can customize your image with five different tabs located by pressing the adjust button

Pencil Outline

This Slider outlines more edges in the photo.

Outline Accuracy

Moving the slider left renders a loose outline and moving it right renders a sharper one.

Outline Strength

This slider increases the pencil's outline. Moving it left gives a light and delicate appearance.

Shade Variation

Moving this slider to the right will shift shading to other areas in the photo.

Shadow Strength

Moving the slider will lighten or darken the shadow areas.

Pencil Color

Pencil Color box brings up a color picker that globally changes pencil color, outline, shade and shadow areas together. Moving the slider to the right will increase shade areas.

Stroke Texture Thumbnails

Choose a Stroke style for your image

Paper Color

Choose a paper color with the color box and use the slider to change the colors opacity

Paper Thumbnails

Choose a paper style for your image

Border Thumbnails

Choose a border to appear around your image

Saving

There are multiple ways to save and share your image all located under the Share tab

Saves your image to your Camera Roll

Save Preset

Adds your custom made preset to the Styles Tab

Print

Opens up a print option where if you have a printer connected to your device you can print it right then

Opens up your email so you can share your photo with friends and family

Upload to Facebook

This will open up a Facebook login screen once logged in your photo will be automatically uploaded to Facebook.

Upload to Twitter

This will open up a Twitter login screen once logged in your photo will be automatically uploaded to Twitter.

Upload to Tumblr

This will open up aTumblr login screen once logged in your photo will be automatically uploaded to Tumblr.

Settings

Change Image output size, Logout of Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, and rebuild the built in presets that came with the app

Saving and Deleting Presets

Once you have applied a preset and modified it using the Fine Tune tab, you can save your own custom preset by using the "Save Preset" button located under the Save tab on the main screen. To delete a preset press down on a thumbnail and hold until red Xs appear next to the preset thumbnails tap them to delete. To retrieve the built in presets go to the Share Tab and select Settings and press Rebuild Presets
