Photo Artista is a painting tool that takes no time to master in order to create your own original work of art. Our efficient method in a simple interface requires a few easy steps: Start with a photo, choose a paint style, and then apply … let the application do the work. All that is required of you is the appreciation – we will take care of the rest.

This app applies the most sophisticated brush strokes, lighting and canvas texture to your images with the option to remove texturing when printing to canvas. Photo Artista is a professional artistic media that graphic artists, photographers, and hobbyists rely on for high quality end results.

Buttons

Top Bar Buttons

Get Photo: Loads a photo from your desktop or hard drive.

Save Photo: Saves the image to your desktop or hard drive.

Save Preset: Once you've created an effect you can use this option to save all the attributes and reuse them on another picture.

Random Button: Randomizes the effect on the image.

Original Button: Hold down to view the original image for a quick comparison.

File Menu

Get Photo: Loads a photo from your desktop or hard drive.

Save Photo: Saves the image to your desktop or hard drive.

Save Preset: Once you've created an effect you can use this option to save all the attributes and reuse them on another picture.

Edit Menu

Undo: Undo your last edit.

Redo: Redo your last edit that was undone.

Adjust

There are two tabs to make adjustments to your image Adjust and Border

Brush Style

These are bristle patterns seen in the painting. Control the amount using the bristle depth slider. (Not available when Impressionism style is selected.)

Brush Size

Move slider left for a smaller brush size or right to increase the brush size for larger thicker strokes.

Bristle Depth

Controls the amount of bristle pattern seen in the painting by moving the slider right.

Canvas

Move slider right to control how much canvas is seen through the paint. (Not available when Impressionism style is selected.)

Stroke Variation

Change where the brush strokes are applied to your painting.

Tone

Change the overall color tone of your painting by moving the slider to the right. Some of the original color may be seen since tone on maximum settings only colors 85%. To change the one tone touch the color chip left of the slider.

Lighten

Add brightness and luminosity to your painting by moving the slider left.

Color Shift

moving the slider either left or right will shift the paintings color range from red through yellow, green and blue.

Edges

Artistic edges are provided to give the appearance of a painting not completely filled in on a canvas.

Canvas Texture

Add or decrease the texture in the areas around the edge. Change the color of the canvas by touching the color box defaulted to white. Remove the edge by choosing none.

Save

Photo Artista Oil paintings can be saved to to your computer by going to the "File" menu, then to "Save Photo".

Photo Artista Oil paintings can be saved to to your computer by going to the "File" menu, then to "Save Photo" or by using the "Save" icon next to "Get Photo".

Save Preset

A preset is a recording of all attributes used to create your painting. When a preset is saved it can be found on the "Style" preset menu. Presets can be used at a later date and will allow you to apply the saved effect to a new photo and modify it.

There are three different styles of presets.

Manage Presets

You can save your own custom preset by going to the "File" menu then choosing the "Save Preset" option off the list. To delete a preset, use the blue edit button (+) found on the lower right corner of the presets panel. Delete individual presets by clicking on the red delete button. To retrieve the built in presets go to the preferences in the drop down menu and select Rebuild Default Presets.
